Intermediate Ballet
The first of the RAD vocational graded examinations. The work becomes more demanding in stamina and precision, and students are expected to take responsibility for their own practice.
What happens in class
- Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate syllabus work.
- Greater emphasis on strength, control and sustained placement.
- Introduction to pointe work where a student is physically ready.
- Preparation for vocational graded examinations.
Where it leads
Students continuing beyond Intermediate move into Advanced Foundation and the Advanced levels.
