A first class
The first time the music starts
Your child stands at the barre in a room of mirrors, and for forty-five minutes nothing else exists. There is a curtsey at the end, and they will want to show you.
It is the part most of our students still remember years later — long after they have forgotten which grade they were in.

One principal. One syllabus. One clear path.
The academy
A warm, encouraging and safe space
CSP Ballet was founded by Principal Miss Chew Su Poh, a dedicated and experienced ballet teacher with a passion for nurturing young dancers.
We create a warm, encouraging, and safe space where students learn, grow, and shine — at their own pace.
The years ahead
You are not choosing a term. You are choosing the next ten years.
One syllabus, one teacher, one room. This is roughly where a child who starts at four will be, year by year.
Four
Pre-Ballet
First positions, learned as shapes rather than corrections. They find the beat before they find the step.
Six
Pre-Primary
The RAD syllabus begins. Real vocabulary, and the first understanding of what taking a class means.
Nine
Graded
A first examination, if they are ready. An external assessment, and a certificate they keep.
Twelve
Grades 5–6
The technique starts to look like ballet — and they can see it in the mirror themselves.
Sixteen
Vocational
Pointe work, Intermediate and Advanced, and a stage they have grown up on.
Ballet classes
